How does Ineffable Blessing interact with tokens? I mean the version of Blessing that cares about card rarity. What rarity are tokens?
Tokens are the rarity of the card that created them.

It’s well-made. : )
Do you know if it was ever considered to include cards for the Dragonlords in the sets leading up to TDM, like you did the Praetors in the sets leading up to ONE/MOM?

“A cost has to be the spending of a resource, not the gaining of one.” Psychic Vortex has a cumulative upkeep cost of “draw a card.” Coldsnap also played in the space of gaining a resource as a cost; see Braid of Fire and Herald of Leshrac.
The reason we’re careful with it is because we’ve experimented with using it.
Re: “A cost has to be the spending of a resource, not the gaining of one.” What about planeswalkers ?

what would be the problem with pushing coin flip cards? The ones we have currently are very fun to use.
Because we want skill to matter in high-level tournament play, we have to be careful with cards that increase the variance. Increasing variance *is* a lot of fun for more casual players. That’s why I do it in things like Un-sets.
